and that’s why we have grace

OMG- seriously

Good morning off to church I’m at West End Campus this week.

got to teach our rug rats about COUR-age!

but before that- lets shove 2 powdered donuts down my throat! they were soo good!

that’s not as bad as Jonathan having 6 before he also remembered he was on a diet.

that’s okay every body makes mistakes every once in a while right?

Doesn’t seem to hard

really. not so bad. At least I can still eat a lot of things. which is how I finally got Jonathan to join me in our quest for our smaller waistlines.

this is going to be a HUGE adjustment for us cause 90% of the foods we eat are carbs and Jonathan doubts the Atkins way.

honestly all i’m thinking is I can still have coffee. BONUS!

I was a little relieved we didn’t have life group because I didn’t know what to feed the teens that wasn’t gonna tempt me.

tomorrow is another day

learning how to live

Up unto this point all I’ve done so far was collect Pinterest pins on what’s LOW carb, what IS a carb, and what to avoid.

cue missile launch and mushroom cloud ………….nothing ever makes sense to me. no matter how handy dandy Pinterest makes it.

In fact I might have made the mistake of telling my co-worker I was going low carb…….

MAN! what did I get myself into?

Well at least she was SUPER excited and so proud of me on my decision and cant wait to see my progress. She’s supportive and informative.

Maybe I just need to jump right in. don’t think about it. just do it.

cause if I think about it- i’ll start to feel the cold water before I even get wet.

the day before the journey

So this is the day I decided to go on a diet.

actually….let me start over.

So this is the day I decided to go on a diet.  This is the day BEFORE I decided to go on a diet.

I don’t know why of all days to start something at the end of the week.

On a Thursday, in the middle of the month, and at 9 o’clock at night.

So out of character for me. I like to start things at the beginning of the week, at the start of the month, and usually at the start of my day. (OCD much?) It makes it easier to count how many days it will take for me to quit. I know it sounds horrible, but I’ve lived for 29 years and that’s just how it goes for me.

Nothing ever last for to long around here. I start something and then stop. Go for SO long and then quit. Really I don’t know how I’ve accomplished much in my short trip around the sun so far. (but I have)

Call me crazy- but I’ve made the commitment of going low carb for at least a month. it took me about 3 days before I decided to tell people about it. now, as you will see, i’m fully immersed in it.
